I can’t believe it has been nearly a week since the Care Show Birmingham closed its doors. The show didn’t disappoint. The seminar schedule was diverse and delivered by industry experts, which created a real buzz around the exhibition. It was good to see familiar competitor faces and a few new entrants into the tech space for the care sector. A personal highlight is always catching up with the team from Envision Communications Group (our hardware partner), as they always bring energy and laughs.
As we approach the end of the year (it is too early to mention Christmas, even for me and I rival the excitement of Buddy the Elf), we wanted to approach the Birmingham Care Show a little differently from what we have done for other shows. We obviously wanted to speak to as many people as we possibly could about our Care Management system and showcase our people, however, we saw the show as the perfect backdrop to make our latest video dreams come true.
The first video stars our Operations Director, Cheryl Guest. We wanted to create a series of videos that captured Cheryl’s years of experience and passion for bringing more women into tech by breaking down the perceived barriers so that we could help inspire a new wave of female tech experts.
Our second shoot focused on our partnership with The Care Workers’ Charity (CWC). Our Founder, David Lynes, was interviewed by Victoria Newton-Cutler, CWC’s Head of Fundraising. We felt it was an important opportunity to capture on film as working with the CWC and raising money runs through the fabric of Unique IQ; our relationship really does mean a great deal to the team. The video will give insight into our relationship, why it is so important, and why Unique IQ would recommend that everyone get involved and support the CWC.
As with all relationships, it is always special when the respect and enjoyment are mutual, so when we received the below quotes from the CWC, we were equally thrilled and touched:
“Working with the team at Unique IQ is always a pleasure; they are all friendly, supportive, creative and genuine.
At every opportunity, they want to help our charity raise its profile and firmly believe in the work we do to support Care Workers who are the very foundation of our sector.
We are incredibly grateful for their financial support fundraising for us and being a very valued corporate sponsor partner, and we are excited to collaborate with them.”

“Partnering with the team at Unique IQ is always a rewarding experience. Their dedication to supporting our mission and helping us raise awareness of the crucial work we do for Care Workers is truly appreciated.
Recently, we had the chance to collaborate on some filming, which gave us an incredible opportunity to share both our work and theirs. This collaboration truly highlights our shared belief in the importance of the care sector, and we are excited to continue working together as a joined-up team, united in our goal to make a real difference.”

We can’t wait to share both videos in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled.
Next year, the Unique IQ team will make a concerted effort to get out and about more and get in front of the camera to share our thoughts and experiences. The days of us being quiet are gone, and we hope you are ready for us!
