Our development team are constantly developing and releasing product updates to ensure that IQ:caremanager, our home care management platform, evolves in line with our customers and the wider needs of the sector. 2025 development has got off to a great start, with the team equally thrilled and excited to see these new features be made live within the system. To keep you up to date with our latest activity, we have pulled together an overview to cover some of our updates – please see below. SMS Updates for Visit Changes
This new SMS notification feature enables SMS messages to be sent directly to carers to enhance communication and scheduling efficiency. With this update, our customers can instantly notify carers when their schedule is updated, ensuring they stay informed in real-time.

Key situations that the SMS update can help:

  • Carer reassignments – Carers receive immediate updates when they’ve been allocated a new visit, reducing confusion and missed visits.
  • Time & location updates – Keeps carers informed about any schedule changes without the need for manual calls or messages.
  • Cancellations – Prevents wasted travel time by notifying carers of last-minute changes, improving reliability and ensuring smoother operations with instant alerts.

Carer Records – Customisable ‘Information’ Tab
We have introduced a new ‘Information’ tab within carer records, allowing organisations to store and report on additional key data. This update provides greater flexibility in managing essential information and ensures that all relevant details are easily accessible.

Key benefits of the ‘Information’ tab:

  • Health & medical needs – Record essential health information such as disabilities, allergies, or other medical requirements. This provides better personalisation and helps track important carer details.
  • Vehicle details – Maintain accurate records of carer transport details to improve scheduling efficiency.
  • Custom fields – Add and manage the specific information that matters most to your organisation, providing greater flexibility for your business needs.

  • Sort referrals by date – Organise referrals more effectively, saving time when managing incoming referrals.
  • Funders displayed on visit pop-ups – View funding details at a glance, reducing admin time and providing instant financial clarity.
  • Payroll rollback by Regional Team filter – Easily adjust payroll with new filtering options, streamlining payroll correction and improving accuracy.
